Happy Holidays!

Hello!  I know it’s been so long since I last posted but I’ve been in such a family crisis and there are some days when I see a light at the end of the tunnel and other days when I don’t. However my faith in God keeps me going strong and I know things will get better in time.

I wanted to wish you all Happy Holidays even though Christmas just passed.  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends eating good food and making memories to cherish for a lifetime.  I am going to make time again  to begin blogging again because I miss it and love sharing my crafting projects with you.

Back To School!

Back To School-

I can't believe school is back in session.  I don't know about you, but just seeing the school supplies in stores gets me excited.  It reminds me of my times in school.  I always loved school.  Now as an adult I always go crazy buying markers, pencils, post it notes and my weakness are the 24 count of Crayola crayons!  I love buying crayons and markers for my kids and me of course, LOL.

This year as the kids return I made some small gifts for their teachers to start off the year using the Stamp of the Month set of course " School Year".

I created these little Post It Note holders for the teachers to use for their little notes.

Every teacher needs a little chocolate to make it through their first day at school so I bought some chocolate See's bars and wrapped them up to match the Post It Note holder.

I also bought some plain kraft paper bags at Hobby Lobby and decorated them using Picture My Life cards with stamped images from the Stamp of the Month.  Voila!  Hope the teachers love them as much as I had fun creating them.

Going, Going, Gone!

Alphabet Story

Stamp of the Month- Storybook Alphabet

Our Stamp of the Month has me creating and coloring!  I created this birthday card for my nephew and used our Enchantment Fundamentals which were a perfect combination to the Storybook Alphabet stamp set.

After stamping the "happy" I colored the letters using ShinHan markers. These are the best markers, the fine tip makes it so easy to color and we have so many beautiful colors to choose from.  Once you a try a marker, you won't shop for any other marker other than ours!  No joke!

Close To My Convention 2017

Convention- Salt Lake City, Utah

It's been a little over a week since I came home from my annual Close To My Heart convention and I have pictures to share with you!  It's only my third convention, but I can tell you it's totally AWESOME! 

Just look at this photo!  There are hundreds of consultants anxiously awaiting for the doors to open on the first day which is so exciting.  While ladies are waiting you have several swapping cards, which is so much fun. 

Here are just a few of my card swaps I received.  I made approximately 40 cards and swapped so many.  It's just so much fun to come home with different cards showing so many techniques.  Plus meeting consultants from everywhere in the United States as you swap and get to know them is fun.

Every year Close To My Heart has a theme for convention and this year's theme was "Who Tells Your Story".  So who tells your story, You of course!  Don't wait to scrapbook, tell your story before it's too late. 

At each convention there is always a backdrop for picture taking and here is my photo!  Holding the theme sign.  The backdrop also has a new color of the year which will be revealed next month.  Can you guess which color it is??  The bottom picture is my up-line Sundi, in the middle along with friends Linda, Robyn, and Tammy from El Paso, Arizona and New Mexico.  We had a blast! 

The first day of convention is General Session where new products are revealed and it's one of my favorite days to attend.  It's so exciting to be there in person and watch it all.  I really like this photo with all the ladies holding new cardstock, so bright and beautiful to see in person.

And here is a sneak peek of our upcoming Annual Inspiration catalog and the Seasonal Expressions mini catalog!  A perk as a consultant is being able to receive these two catalogs at convention and look at all the new products before anyone else!! 

We also receive a new bag!!

 

 





We even get to create while at Convention with new product!!  It's so much fun!

 

Each year I room with awesome friends at convention and we give each other goodies.  Along with gifts I also receive from friends.  Here is a picture of my beautiful gifts from some very creative friends including some scrapbook pages that I couldn't fit in the picture!  I'm so lucky to know some very talented gals!!

 

The highlight of convention was a tour of the Close To My Heart Home Office!  It was beyond AMAZING!!  This is one of the views of the Home Office creative art room where all the creativity begins. Also a little peek on the desk for you to see!
